Higher recovery for your lost or damaged shipments.

Declared value may be declared by the shipper. When a declaration of value for carriage is made, the value per pound or per kilogram for calculating declared value liability shall be determined by dividing the shipper’s declared value for carriage by the actual weight of the shipment. Liability shall in no event exceed the lesser of the declared value of the shipment or the actual amount of loss or damage to that part of the shipment adversely affected. You may choose to declare a higher value for your shipment, up to the maximum allowed in your country or territory, by entering a declared value in your shipping system and paying an additional charge. Declared value is not insurance.

Shippers desiring cargo insurance, all risk insurance or another form of insurance should purchase it directly from a third party, like UPS Capital Insurance Agency, Inc.

Easy, convenient and timely with a consistent chain of custody. Only available with UPS Air Freight Direct and UPS Air Freight Consolidated. An additional charge will apply.

To give you more control and convenience, our Hold at Destination Airport (HAPU) service lets you hold freight for pickup by you or your customer, right at the destination location. All that’s required is a consignee name and phone number, and all services will be billed door-to-door. No holding fees will be applied.
